Kat Goldman's first album, The Great Disappearing Act, sparkles with anthemic and quirky pop songs as well as introspective folk ballads. She has been called a 'Canadian flower' by Eric Anderson, and a songwriting genius by her peers. Her famed song ' Annabel', featured in the collection, was covered by Grammy-nominated band The Duhks and others. Kat Goldman grew up in Toronto. After touring through Canada to appreciative audiences, She was discovered New York manager Ron Fierstein who fell in love with this CD. I couldn't believe he picked me!' Kat says. She was soon playing shows there at the renowned folk venues of lower Manhattan: The Bottom Line, The Living Room,The Cutting Room, and The Bitter End. ' I never thought my music would ever get across the ( Canadian) border', Goldman says, ' 'The Great Disappearing Act' gave me my lucky break'.
