2008年、nujabes主宰のレーベルhydeout productionsからの衝撃のデビューを飾り、多くのファンを魅了した稀有な名盤『soon it will be could enough』から約2年。当時19歳という若さで制作されたアルバムから、さらに感覚を研ぎすまし制作されたのが今回のアルバム『Safe In The Steep Cliffs』である。同年にPUMA Store presents によるツアーRed bookで初来日を果たした際に数々の名曲を生み出し、Nujabesの楽曲にも深く携わるUyama Hirotoと交流を深め出会いのあった鎌倉からインスパイアされて制作された「Kamakura」を筆頭に、アップテンポで爽快感のある「Jet Stream」や、情景を思い描かす「Black Lake」等の珠玉の曲群は前作にもまして美しく、繊細で、儚く、それでいて温かい旋律を表現してくれている。前作を継承しつつ前作よりもさらに磨き上げられ洗練された感覚は更なる名盤をここに生んだ。
