耽美主義は「理詰め」なんだと改めて納得。何かと「盛った」サウンド全盛だった当時、ホーンやストリングスを使いながらもあざとくならない曲作りは、美に対する彼らの徹底。「公式」が勝利した瞬間。化学の国の音の「結晶」。

うねるようなｻｲｹ・ｷﾞﾀｰが後退してしまった本作だが、これはこれで素晴らしい。ｽﾄﾘﾝｸﾞｽが効果的で、流麗なｻｳﾝﾄﾞが印象的なKilling Moonは特筆もの。このｱﾙﾊﾞﾑのｳﾞｧｰｼﾞｮﾝも良いが、次の再発の際にはﾛﾝｸﾞ･ｳﾞｧｰｼﾞｮﾝもﾎﾞｰﾅｽ･ﾄﾗｯｸとして収録して欲しい。

評論家筋での評価は今イチですが個人的にはこれが彼等の最高傑作だと思います幽玄な美しさが全編に渡って堪能出来る極めて英国的な作りで彼等の音楽性の一つの到達点とも言えるネオサイケなサウンドスケープが美しい作品!!
