Former Future of Forestry bandmates, Nick Maybury and Luke Floeter, partner with Brad Davis (Reeve Oliver) and Mark Suhonen (Dr. Seahorse, The Gate Called Beautiful) on their self-titled debut as The Eagle and Child. Though unashamed in it's homage to late-80s pop, the band never loses site of it's guitar-driven indie rock roots. A heavy dose of percussion drives tracks like 'Your Great Name' and 'Art and the Architecture,' while soundscapes of guitar paint the listener into a lush atmosphere ripe for introspection. With new renditions of famed Christian worship songs, and four original tracks, The Eagle and Child's inaugural release is a dynamically rich album, both giving space to breathe and an invitation to dance.
