Complete Piano Trios : Gould Piano Trio (2CD)

The Gould Piano Trio present their second Champs Hill release, a boxed set of the complete piano trios by Antonon Dvorak. The release is timed to coincide with a series of concerts at the Wigmore Hall in which they will be performing the four trios of Dvorak together with other Czech masterpieces. An ensemble with an enviable reputation for music integrity and imagination, the Gould Piano Trio will celebrate it's 20th Anniversary in 2012. Music Web International praised their work on their first release, a disc of Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky Trios, saying these performances are polished, nicely blended, and heartfelt. It would be difficult to imagine more robust, sensitive and responsive playing.
