Pascal Rophe directs the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liege acknowledged as the finest orchestra in Belgium on this recording. ‘Seven Solos for Orchestra’ is a collection of works intended to make the orchestra play as one solo instrument. The cycle of seven solos for orchestra started in 1991 with ‘Go’ and ended in 2008 with ‘Uncut’, premiered at the Cite de la Musique in Paris on 27 March 2009.
