It doesn't really seem like it, but it's actually seven years since Donell Jones dropped his debut album 'My Heart' on the LaFace imprint. In the meantime he's released a second set (1999's 'Where I Wanna Be') and penned tracks for the likes of Usher and even Madonna and it's this consummate professionalism that's helped him fashion the Donell Jones sound. New set 'Life Goes On' is vintage Donell ? a superbly crafted balance of hip-hop styled urban bangers and seductive slow jams. Production on the album comes from Kyle West, Sheldon Goode and Eddie F (the man responsible for discovering Donell in the first place).

フランスのヤフーミュージックのPVでこの人の存在を今頃知りました。 ちなみにPVの曲はこのアルバム３曲目のYouKnowThatILoveYou♪です。 今時風のヒップホップが苦手な人には超お勧めです。 ビデオイメージだけで売ってる今時の音楽とは一線を画す感じです。 まさに歌と曲と情感を聞かせるって感じで、大人の為のCDだと思います。 四季を問わずに年中聞けます。 Christophe・Willem発見の感動と同じくらい良いです！

落ち着いて聴ける正統派Ｒ＆Ｂで、歌唱力もあり声高めな感じで女性に安心してオススメ出来るアーティストであり、アルバムです！ 2、3曲目は流行りな感じでいいけど、5曲目の切ないバラードが何とも言えない美メロ！
