ジョージ・アダムズは70年代ミンガスグループで活躍、80年代はギルエヴァンスのマンデイナイト・オーケストラでも注目された。ドン・ピューレンもミンガスグループに在籍した、セシル・テイラー的不協和音を駆使しるピアニスト。二人の双頭コンボは80年代のニューヨークで高い注目を浴びたその最高傑作。
