Distant Cousinz is: Scott Fish - vocals, guitar, keys Big C - vocals, percussion Trez Gregory - vocals, percussion Art Bishop: Saxophone Kenny Hines - bass Bob Stevens - lead guitar, backing vocals Megan Lesle - lead guitar, backing vocals Del Ray Grace Jr: drums, bass Chris Pope: drums Distant Cousinz started in a factory, you could say the band was built there. Scott Fish, Big C Coley and Kenny Hines all worked together at First Solar on the manufacturing floor. Fish heard Big C sing in the company cafeteria and invited him to his home studio to record. Kenny came out to one of Fish's solo gigs and offered to get together and jam. From those humble beginnings, gigs were booked, band members came and went, and came back again. One night at the Basin Street Grille (a common place to see the Cousinz in the beginning) the manager Brian Gump had invited Trez Gregory to come out and see the band. Fish and Trez had known eachother a decade earlier, before Trez had gone to Nashville and toured for seven years with Brooks & Dunn. Trez performed around the world in sold out arenas as the background singer for Brooks & Dunn. When the group retired and broke up, Trez returned to her hometown. That night she came out to see the Cousinz, she sat in and we made her a permanent member of the family : o) After going through drummers like Spinal Tap, Del Ray Grace Jr. joined the line up and kept the groove steady. Sometimes, he plays the bass instead and his cousin Chris Pope takes the drums. Bob Stevens plays some wicked guitar for us, so does Megan Lesle. We are cool like that, a band that is like a family... a Bamily : o) We are on a mission to prove that we are ALL just one big family, grooving together on this crazy rock hurdling through space and time....
