Product Description

Diana Krall has had a long time fascination with bossa nova, a type of music, which perfectly suits her sophisticated yet sensual style. This culminated in her new studio album Quiet Nights (released by Verve in spring 2009) and in this stunning concert filmed in the home of the bossa nova, Rio de Janeiro, in November 2008. This Special Edition of the DVD, released to coincide with her autumn European tour dates, adds a second disc containing over 70 minutes of additional performances from Lisbon and Madrid along with a stunning solo performance from Canada plus the Rooftop Session filmed in Rio which has only previously been available on the Blu-ray release.

「Live In Paris」が良かったので、ちょっとガッカリでした。　４人のバランスもあまり良くなく、DVDにするにはリハ不足かもしれません。　但し、お互いの音、つまり中音(モニター)の調整がうまくいってなかったのかもしれません。　アレンジは良いのかもしれませんが、このオーケストラははっきり言って力量不足です。　そしてさらには、ミキシングが良くないので、管楽器と弦楽器のバランスも良くないです。　ノル音楽でも浸る音楽でもなく中途半端な仕上がりです。　ノルには「Live At The Montreal Jazz Festival」、浸るには「Live In Paris」が良いと思いますが・・・。　星３つですが、３つ半くらいかな？？？

もっぱらCar Audioで深夜の高速クルージングで愉しんでいますが、 Dianaの世界に引き込まれてしまいます。 Live in Parisよりもさらにイイ感じでGoodですね。 ParisのLiveと重複している曲目があるので、聞き比べるのもイイと思います。 ”ESTE SEU OLHAR”では観客のレスポンスもあって盛りあがっています。音質、映像ともにGoodです。 1枚持っていてもハズレのないDVDでしょう。

ライヴ・イン・パリから７年、ジョン・クレイトンやジェフ・ハミルトンらのバック・サポート陣は年月の経過を感じさせる風貌になっていたが、ダイアナの手元を見つめ、暖かく包み込むように目配せして、互いに楽しんでいる雰囲気はライヴ映像ならでは・・・最高の映像で、最後まで引き込まれっぱなしだった。それにしてもダイアナは年を取っていないように感じた。ファンにとっては永遠の歌姫であってほしい。
