評価がどうも低いようですので、敢て投稿します。数ある彼女の作品の中でも大好きなもので、何度聞いても飽きません。後半になるにしたがって退廃ムード最高潮となり、遂に幕が下りる（カーテン　カムズ　ダウン）まで聞きほれてしまいます。ジャズという感覚とは違うのかもしれませんが、これはこれで素晴らしい！僕はおすすめします。

派手さはないが、ゆったり、ノスタルジックなムードが漂う。 ＬＰは重量盤２枚組。若干反りがあるが、音には影響なし。各面１５分〜２０分程度なので、ＬＰの欠点である内周部の音質劣化も気にならない。 ジャケットもセクシーでよい。 これで国内盤ＣＤより安価で、音質もよいのだから、いい買い物だと思う。 誰も言わないが、ＣＤが売れない原因の一つは、出てくる音が良くないから。新しい音源も、もっとＬＰで出してほしい。

17曲入りのDeluxe盤を聴いてみました。前々作、前作も含め新しいスタイルを模索してる最中ですが、本作もどこか中途半端な印象が残ってしまいました。 低く響く声質と跳ねない歌い回しの彼女の特徴（持ち味？）に合わせてサウンド・メイクしたと思うんですが、アクセルを踏み込みきれずまだまだ迷いがあるって感じです。アルバム・ジャケットほどの大胆さもないし、ImpulseやVerveの作品でみせた掘り下げる様な積極性はありません。 本作は人選的にもどこか引っかかりしたが、Eコステロを介してRクーダーやDリンドレー辺りと組んでもよかったんじゃないでしょうか。レイドバックしたDクラール版の「Paris/Texas」ってのも有りかと。
