2010 debut album from Newcastle rockers Detroit Social Club. Self-described as Analogue experimentation of the modern kind. Retro-Big beat-Gospel influenced-junkie folk, made in 1970's New York, the band take influences from the likes of acts as diverse as Velvet Underground and de la Soul. A full-on raucous affair, some of the songs on Existence were written as long ago as 2007, but worth wait as Existence is sure to be on many Top 10 lists in 2010. Polydor.

音の節々に新人らしからぬ貫禄さえ漂うオーラを感じれるものの、いまいちコレといった色がないと言うかパンチがない。しかし演奏や音などは、本格派ＵＫロックを継承してるので今後が楽しみなバンド！

ジム・アビスプロデュース、oasisのお気に入り、フジロック2010出演などで日本でも注目されている彼ら。しかしアルバム全体の内容はイマイチ。Rivers ＆ Rainbowsは良曲だがこれといって核になる曲はない。期待感は持たされるんだけど特に何も響いてこないうちに全曲終わってしまう。

不穏にうねる空気感の中でも、高まる高揚感を抑えきれない。けっこうクセになりそう。スケール感たっぷり、大物らしいふてぶてしさも感じられる。注目のバンドです。
