Musique Du Delta

Delta Ensemble is a particularly original French band, made of Jean-Paul NOGUES, Marie MALLET and Franoise SCHANBROEK. Their search for songwriting and improvisation methods led them to make a truly unique music. It can be compared to modern chamber music in the wake of JULVERNE or ZNR and neo-classical or repetitive tendencies as in SOFT VERDICT or PENGUIN CAFE ORCHESTRA. in 1988, La Musique Du Delta established the creation of the Musea Parallele label, a division created for new and improvised music, as well as inventive jazz-rock. So now you know that, despite it's name, this album is everything but a rural blues compilation !
