Her second album, Electric Youth, originally released in 1989, spent five weeks on top of The Billboard Hot 100, selling over two million copies in the process. Internationally, the album racked up another two million sales, and hit the UK Top 10, earning a gold disc. The album features the American number one single 'Lost In Your Eyes', regarded by many as Debbie's signature tune. Also included are the million-selling US single 'Electric Youth' (U. S. #11, U. K. #14), 'No More Rhyme' (U. S. #17) and the uplifting 'We Could Be Together' (U. K. #22).

『アウト・オブ・ザ・ブルー』に続く本作！前作もヒットしたが、本作には『ロスト・イン・ユア・アイズ』と言う、彼女の人気を決定づけた曲がある！作詞、作曲、アレンジとマルチに全てをこなし、歌唱力も当時としては高レベル！この後のアルバムはヒットに恵まれず、第一線からは姿を消したが、地道な作品作りとブロードウェイでの活躍は、今でも彼女の才能が枯れていないのが窺える！

厚みを増してる2ndアルバム(’89発表)。アルバムはもちろん全米No.1、200万枚以上のセールス、シングルは1st②が全米No.1、2nd⑦が11位、3rd⑧が17位、4th⑩が71位を記録しました。②は名曲、⑩はなぜヒットしなかったか疑いたくなるくらいの完成度の高い曲、ノリの良い⑥などぎっしり詰まっています。
