The debut album from UK synth pop/new wave act Dead Or Alive, released in 1984. Fronted by the imposing figure of Pete Burns. Dead Or Alive were embraced by the New Romantics as well as clubbers, and Burns engaged in a series of entertaining press spats with Boy George about who minted that image of extravagant gay frontman/outrageous dresser first. This re-release, on CD for the first time in the UK, includes a slew of 7 bonus tracks as well as detailed liners notes about the band's history.

旧輸入盤と国内盤は曲順が違っていたそうで...

旧輸入盤と国内盤は曲順が違っていたそうですが、今回の再発は国内盤の曲順に準じています。ボーナストラックはリミックスが多く、それ以前のシングルは4thシングルのAB面の２曲のみ。1st2nd3rdシングル、ナイトメアインワックス時代、ミステリーガール時代の曲を入れて欲しかったですね。いつしかリリースを期待してます。

i’ve been waiting for this very first album to be re-released. Pete is simply the best and most unique. He was a proto-goth blending all sorts of alternative factors to make very cathy songs that even appealed to Euro-beat fans all over the world. I was 10 when he dida Rip It Up Live in Budohkan, though. I won’t miss you no more,Pete!
