Sin & Redemption

David Newboulds voice embodies a high and lonesome state of being, evoking winds that blow through valleys of fear and over plains of wistful peace. Born in Toronto, Canada, Newbould set out for the United States toward the end of his teenage years. Following in the footsteps of many of his heroes, he focused his attentions on New York City, landing a spot as a guitar player for indie recording artists The Mercenaries. He eventually found his own voice as both a writer and performer, self-releasing 2 EPs (Lab Rat, David Newbould), and developing a loyal fan base through relentless performances and word of mouth no label support, no major press, no glitz. His restless nature led him to Austin, TX, where he continued to write and record music, including a third EP (Everyones Got Their Own 10), his first full length (Big Red Sun), and produced an ambitious live CD/DVD package (The Long Way Home: David Newbould & Friends Live From Austin). In 2009, Newbould relocated to Nashville, TN. Embraced by the musical community there, he released several more solo projects (the full length Tennessee and EPs The Devil Is His Name and Live At The Building) and began creative collaborations with artists like Dan Baird, Whiskey Wolves of the West and more.
