作曲家/アレンジャーであり、ケヴィン・エアーズのホール・ワールドではキーボーディストとしても活躍した デヴィッド･ベッドフォードが、78 年に放映されたBBC のTV プログラム『Omnibus』の為に制作した作品 『Song Of The White Horse』のリイシュー盤。新石器時代/鉄器時代の古墳趾であるウェイランズ・スミジィ とアフィントンの白馬を結ぶリッジウェイ･フットパスをテーマにした作品。作家ギルバート・ケイス・チェスタ ートンが1911 年に出版した『The Ballad of The White Horse』からの詩文も引用する。クワイアやオーケス トラのほかソフトマシーンのマイク・ラトリッジやソプラノ歌手のダイアナ･コールソンなどをフィーチャーす る。プロデュース＆エンジニアリングともにマイク･オールドフィールドが手掛ける。
