It's About Time

Those of us who were lucky enough to know Dave Giegerich had our lives enriched in many ways. His wit and wisdom, passion and purpose, talent, generosity and good humor won him friends and admirers everywhere he went. This CD is a labor of love - reflecting Dave's varied musical interests and incorporating the contributions of many musicians with whom he worked over the years. After we lost Dave in December 2010, his wife, Pam, along with his sons and many of his musical friends decided to join together to finish the project in order to preserve Dave's musical legacy and share his music with as many people as possible. We have tried to complete the project as he would have wanted it. All of the work on this project was donated by the musicians, producers, engineers, graphic artists, photographers and technicians who completed it. It is our way of saying thank you to our friend for a life well-lived and the laughter, inspiration, music and memories he gave us. We hope that you feel the love, friendship and respect that went into every note. Hopefully, when you listen to this recording, you will see Dave's smiling face, hear his laugh, and remember what a great talent and special person we have lost.
