中学校の同級生だった圭司・隼人・香二郎が当時5人のメンバーで結成し、その後に隼人の高校の同級生だった悠希が新たにVOCALとして加入。4人の美少年グループとして日本クラウンレコードよりメジャーデビューを果たすが2001年秋、メジャーでの活動に終止符を打ちインディーズに戻り所属事務所も移籍、活動を再開。
そして2002年をもって『CLOUD』としての活動に終止符を打った。
2003年1月1日よりVo.清水 祥、Gt.西川 恵二、Ba.生田 隼人、Dr.森 香二郎と改名し「The Rainmakers」として音楽活動を開始する。
