1969年にargoレーベルからリリースされた「Elizabethan Words and Music」というタイトルのアンソロジー。エリザベス女王のために書かれた詩やマドリガルを集めたこの1枚は、ルネサンス時代のロンドンで活躍した作曲家たちに焦点を当てた好企画盤でした。
　1960年代から70年代にかけて、英国のルネサンス音楽のリバイバルに貢献したパーセル・コンソート・オブ・ヴォイスはこの時代の作品を熱心に研究し、優れた演奏を聴かせてくれます。本当に楽しく、素晴らしい1枚です。（輸入元情報）
