　協奏曲の有名どころを録音し終わり，「次は何にいくんだろう…」と思っていました。それが，アイヴズ，そしてこのアルバムということに。彼女の中で，何かが変わったのでしょうか…？　室内楽曲の名曲たちにいかず，マイナーなものへ…。ベートーヴェンのソナタやイザイ，パガニーニや…を聴いてみたい！という欲求も大きいですが，こういったまた別な側面も面白いな…と，このアルバムを繰り返し聴き，思い始めたところです。それにしても才能豊かなヴァイオリニストですね…！全く知らない曲であるにもかかわらず，グイグイと引き込まれてしまいました。冒頭の“かすれ”…マイルス・デイビスの『Round About Midnight』の冒頭の“ミュート”を経験したときの“鳥肌”を再体験したような感じさえしました。 　彼女はどこへ向かうんだろう…どこへ向かおうと目が離せません。

いわゆるゲンダイオンガクです。でもキンキンしたところはなくて、むしろ癒しを感じさせてくれます。心に直接響いてくる名曲、名演だと思います。でも注意が必要なのは普通のクラシック曲しか聴けない人には全く理解できないと思われることです。
