私の母が頭痛持ちで、小さい時の私は、頭を抱えて寝込む母の姿を不思議そうに眺めていたものです。・・・・しかし、とうとう、私にも来たようですよ、慢性的な頭痛が（血は争えない）。私が頭痛に襲われて寝込む時に必ず流すのがこれのアルバムです。ハープという楽器は特性上、音がすっと明滅してゆくので、ものすごく「静けさ」や「間」というものを感じます。その静けさが、日ごろ使い過ぎている（←ほんとかいな）脳味噌に、優しく沁みいってきます。そして、選曲がまた良い。懐かしい旋律に溢れた「子供の領分」に、子供むけに書かれた（でも書法は本気）のフォーレの「ドリー」、そしてこれまた子供向けに書かれたファンタジー「マ・メール・ロア」・・・まるで自分んのために録音されたんじゃないかと思うほど好きな曲が並んでいます。このデュオ・ビリティスの新譜が出ないかなぁと首を長くして待ってるのですが、なかなか出ないようですね、残念…。原曲を一気に味わいたい方は、このロペス＝コボスの盤がお勧めですよ。「ミュージック・フォー・チルドレン」https://www.hmv.co.jp/product/detail/1440066スイス・ロマンドもそうですが、なぜスイスでフランスの楽器が使われているのか浅学でよく知らないのですが、このスイスの地方オケもしっかりフランスの音がしますよ。

演奏自体はゆったりとしていてBGMとして聞く分にはいいかもしれない。フランクの原曲はオルガンで、しかも作曲者自身がレジストを指定しているために、ハープではその魅力を表し切れない。デュオ・ビリティスというハープデュオ名で、妖精の庭園というアルバム名をつけるのであれば、もっとふさわしい選曲が望まれる。

2006年11月、07年5月録音（DDD）。すべてピアノ曲からの編曲だが、ハープへの置き換えには、音響的に響きすぎるなど無理があるようだ。演奏もハープへの編曲に際して、完全に消化できていないと思う。BGMとしてはオルゴールCDのようでもあるため心地よい。
