世界的なフルート奏者エマニエル・パユが、オペラの名曲の有名で親しみやすい旋律をフルート向けに編曲した作品を１枚にまとめた録音である。一歩間違うとムードクラシック音楽作品集になりそうな感じのアルバムであるが、演奏の質は高く、気恥ずかしくなりそうなくらい真っ向から取り組んでいて、とても楽しめる。録音も悪く無い。

フルート・キング、パユさんのオペラ楽曲CD。 誰もが一度はどこかで聴いたことがあるような名曲揃いです。 色々な作曲家の曲が収録されているので、曲から曲への流れや、CDの統一感にはやや欠けます。 （ベスト盤のようなものだと思って頂ければわかりやすいかな。） が！！クラッシックの楽曲より、オペラの楽曲の方がストーリー性が高いように感じました。 聴けば聴くほど、自然とイメージも膨らみ好きになりました。
