小学生の頃になりますがワルター／コロンビア響のベートーヴェン第五番と未完成のカップリングＬＰを購入。ジャケットは雪景色です。 当然、小学生の頃ですと1958年の録音もそうそう古くは無いのですが 録音の素晴らしさと温かみのある演奏に、この年齢になり他のベートーヴェン 交響曲も全曲揃えたく、あならばこのコレクションをと購入しました。 懐かしさとステレオの素晴らしい録音、そして彼特有の重低音に再度、驚きを感じます。４０年代の録音は流石に古さを感じますが５０年代のモーツァルトやハイドンも堪能できこの価格で３０枚もの長時間録音が楽しめるなど 夢のようです。
