少女時代から数々のコンテストで優勝をものにし、１２歳の頃にはディズニーの人気テレビ番組「Ｍｉｃｋｙ　Ｍｏｕｓｅ　Ｃｌｕｂ」（ブリトニー・スピアーズが出ていた事で有名）にレギュラー出演していたという経歴を持つクリスティーナ、１８歳。’９８年ディズニーのアニメ映画「ムーラン」のエンディング・テーマ「Ｒｅｆｌｅｃｔｉｏｎ」で初のレコーディングを果たし、同時にＲＣＡと契約、ここに満を持してのアルバム・デビューとなった。元システムのデヴィッド・フランクがプロデュースするアップ・ビートのダンス・ナンバーから、バラードの名手ダイアン・ウォーレンが書いたスロウまで、幅広い感性を垣間見せている。他にもスターケン＆ロジャース、マシュー・ワイルダー、ガイ・ローシェなど敏腕プロデューサーが総集結。音も良く出来ている。 そして、先頃発表となった第４２回グラミー賞において見事Ｂｅｓｔ　Ｎｅｗ　Ａｒｔｉｓｔの栄誉に輝いた。
