名盤「Return to Forever」に先立つアルバムで、ストレート・アヘッドなジャズをやっているのが、新しいジャズファンにはびっくり、という、アルバム。チック・コリアといえば、今ではどちらかというとクロス・オーバー的な印象が強い人ですが、これを聴けば、ソロの斬新さも人後に落ちない、いわゆる「ポスト・エヴァンス」をジャレットと一緒に支えてきたピアニストだということが、よくわかります。
