The musical style of this album seems to span across genres from country to pop to rock but the music behind each song seems to fit the emotional content in the lyrics perfectly. The new Late Bloomer CD was produced by Kevin McKinney and Cheryl Murdock, and mixed and mastered by Mark Hallman. Most of the songs are written by Murdock, but she collaborated with Grammy nominated Eric Paslay for Dog House Flowers, Fall for Me, Silence, and Sweet Addiction. Recklessly was also co-written with Angela Hurt. Murdock has a special style with a powerful velvety voice that can belt out songs and still convey a soft soul- stirring vulnerability keeping listeners wanting to hear more.
