2006年アルバム『Adoration』でデビューを果たしたChat Noirのセカンド･アルバムがemarcyから登場。2001年にピアニストMichele CavallariとベースのLuca Fogagnoloの2人が出会いこのプロジェクトはスタート、翌年にドラムのGiuliano Ferrariを迎えトリオとなる。2004年にレコーディングした1stアルバム『Adoration』はイタリアで予想以上の好セールスを上げ、アカデミー賞で最優秀外国語映画賞にもノミネートされたCristina Comencini監督の映画『La Bestia nel Cuore』(邦題：『心の中の野獣』）の中でも彼らの音楽が使用されその評判は世界に広まった。ボボ･ステンソン･トリオ、E.S.T.に続き、ジャズ･ファン必聴のピアノ･トリオです。
