Progress

Progress is the first full length album from Austin, Texas based rock band Chasing Lions. Influences include Paramore, New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy, Underoath, As Cities Burn, A Day To Remember, and countless others. That's where most of our sound comes from though. The songs on this record are mostly about becoming the person that you want to be and being frustrated with the decisions you make. What we want to do, we do not do - But what we hate, we do. A few songs, like Sheltered and Thank You have a more specific background to them. Sheltered is a letter to kids at the Westboro Baptist church and ultra conservative or hateful Christians in general. Thank You, which opens up the record, is just a way for us to say thank you to everyone that has gone out of their way to help us do what we do. We hope that you enjoy these songs. We didn't write them for ourselves, we wrote them for you. We sincerely hope and pray that something in this record will absolutely crush barriers in your life and bring peace. -CL.
