Product Description

If tequila came in a can, Chaparral would be buying thirty racks, slamming those sucker's down, and then proceed to make kick-ass country songs. Chaparral is being lauded as the country band to watch coming out of the central valley of California. Their country rock sound is inspired by both the mainstream talent coming out of Nashville such as Brad Paisley, Wynonna Judd, and Garth Brooks and underground country artists such as Randy Rogers Band, Steve Earle and Cody Canada. Their songs tell the story of partying, falling in love, and the difficulty that comes with relationships. Every person growing up in a rural area will find it easy to identify with Chaparral's music. It's the perfect music for late nights around the bond fire with friends or early mornings in the dusty old work truck. Chaparral has been given a great response for their live performances. Tyler Storey of KRAZY Country, 105.9 Santa Barbara County, said of Chaparral Chaparral is one of the most captivating talents I have ever seen. They have a way of livening up the room every time they are on stage. To put it simply, if they were a player in the NFL draft, they would be taken number one. That is their appeal. 'Chaparral's sound has also been praised for taking country music in the right direction. Pepper Daniels of KJUG Central Coast San Luis Obispo County, said of the band 'Chaparral is a modern country band with a rockin' edge. True to their own sound and hip to the direction of Today's Country music. Oh yeah and great LIVE!' Chaparral performed their first big show in October 2010, opening for Montgomery Gentry at Pozo Saloon in Pozo, CA. In February 2011, they released their first album 'California Line at World Ag Expo's Concerts for a Cause with Country music star and 'The Voice' judge Blake Shelton. In August 2011 they opened once again for Montgomery Gentry at the outdoor venue Twilight Park. They were the first band to perform at the venue, which has the largest outdoor stage in North America. In February 2012, Chaparral released their second album 'Lost and Found' at the second World Ag Expo Concerts for a Cause with Trace Adkins. The band considered this album to be a leap forward in maturity for their music because it was more personal which is evident in songs such as Dad's Song and Down to the River. Chaparral stays close to the roots of what inspires their music. They record and produce their music in their hometown Visalia, California. Chaparral is a unique talent of being able to get a crowd rocking out and ready to party with a crowd favorite like Tequila in a Can or make you think of that special someone and tug on your heart strings with Wish You Needed Me. Chaparral is proving time and time again that they are the country band to keep an eye out for and are expected to see gain more popularity in the near future.
