His compositions are at once challenging and beautiful. He has assembled a cache of musicians who are fine instrumentalists, sensitive and creative. Working with these musicians and this music proved to be inspiring as well requiring a panorama of emotional levels, from the beautiful ballads to the up-tempo and harmonically challenging pieces. In addition to the great playing, I was touched by the professional acumen in the studio and the commitment, focus and hard work to make the music the best it could be was phenomenal. I'm proud to be a part of this endeavor and I look forward to a wonderful future of these young artists. This collaboration was one of great joy and satisfaction. Caryl Baker: professional musician, composer, producer and music teacher, Caryl graduated at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern in 2002. He played and perfectioned his style with world known players such as Kenny Baron, Jerry Bergonzi, Chico Freeman, Bob Mintzer, Ray Brown... Caryl is at home in many styles such as jazz, latin jazz, funk, salsa and performed in Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Danemark with his own band Caryl Baker Quartet and others such as Orchestra Tentacion, Batambo, Son como Son, Alexandre Nussbaum Acoustic Trio, Sylvie Bourban Duo,... He played in international Jazz Festivals in Palma de Majorca, Montreux, Cully, Bern, Zrich, Geneva...
