'Made New' was the vision of worship leader Carrie Rinderer. She felt that there were many older hymns with incredible lyrics and theology that had gone by the wayside because of outdated music. She wrote completely new music and melodies to eight of these classic hymns. Add to that one hymn 'What Wondrous Love Is This' that was too good to change melodically and one original 'The Sound Of God's Heart' written by Carrie, her husband Rob, and their friend Ric Flauding and you have a worshipful refreshing collection of songs that will have you singing God's praises! The CD was produced by Carrie and Rob with Dave Owens (Thomas Dolby, Fernando Ortega) on drums and percussion, Norm Stockton (Lincoln Brewster) on bass, Keith Felch on sax and woodwinds and Brian Swerdfeger on guitar. Carrie played piano, toy piano and hammered dulcimer on the project along with handling all the lead vocals. Rob also played piano, Rhodes, organ, hammered dulcimer, accordion and vibes. This eclectic instrumentation adds to the refreshing spirit of this folk/pop/jazz/gospel project. In addition to being a recording artist, Carrie is also a worship leader at Sanctuary Christian Fellowship in Mission Viejo, Ca, for the Virtue Women's Study at Harvest OC in Irvine, CA and for various women's conferences and events throughout California. She also is a session vocalist and piano and vocal teacher. She has also toured and/or recorded with Mark Lindsay (former lead singer of Paul Revere And The Raiders), Christian children's artist Dean-O And The Dynamos, The Harvest Crusade Band, John Andrew Schreiner, Bill Batstone, Junko and many others. Carrie also is the vocalist on the song 'Say Merry Christmas' which at this moment has over 2,000,000 views on You Tube. Carrie is a musician truly in love with the Lord. In this project, Carrie has expressed her love for God and has breathed new life into some classic Christian lyrics.
