Carla Bruni is a singer/songwriter, born in Italy and based in France. If her name rings other bells then perhaps it's because she was a very successful model in the late 80s - early 90s.

Carla turns the perception of models-turned singers on its head. She has been extremely successful in Europe, especially in her homeland of France, where she has sold over a million copies of 'Quelqu'un m'a dit' ('Someone Told Me'), which was released in France over a year ago.

Carla's graceful delivery and soft-timbered vocals will send a delicious little thrill up the spine. She has an acoustic, folky sound along the lines of Emmylou Harris and Edie Brickell with definite influences from France such as Francoise Hardy.

１曲目がイタリアのランチアテージスのＣＭソングで流れているのを動画で見てから、なかなかいい曲だなと思って購入しました。（動画もお勧め？）主にクルマで聴いていますが、思わずヨーロッパにいるような雰囲気にさせられるすばらしいアルバムです。

美しい。この一言につきます。ハスキーな声、大人の女性を感じさせるしなやかさ。時々感じる男性的な格好よさ。恋人と二人で聞いたら素敵です。

全曲、どれも最高です！ここ何年かで私が購入した中では、Sophie Milmanのデビューアルバム、Diana KrallのLive in parisと並ぶ、あるいはそれ以上の最高傑作でした。これから何年、何十年経っても、楽しい時、悲しい時、朝や昼、夜でもいつだって聴くことができる音楽だと思います。わくわく、ドキドキされるのではなく、そっと心に寄り添ってくれる曲ばかりですから。
