　名盤として、あまりにも紹介されているア...

　名盤として、あまりにも紹介されているアルバムですが聞かせる演奏でＣａｎｎｏｎｂａｌｌ　Ａｄｄｅｒｌｅｙの良さであるファンキー、ハードのハードが消されているから個人的には記憶に残らない、響かなかったアルバムの１枚です。

リーダー作としては、キャノンボールですが、実際はマイルス・デイビスの作品として語られることの方が圧倒的に多い、有名盤です。確かに、このアルバムのマイルスは、若々しく、クールでもモードでもないソロを繰り広げていて、聴きやすく、親しみやすいスタンダードの数々。ジャズを聴くならとりあえず、の一枚です。今となってはそんなマウンティングとは別個に、このアルバムが録音されて(ライブではなく!)私たちに届けられたことに感謝しようと思います。

やはり「枯葉」の名演に尽きる。私は勝手に「このＣＤは秋が旬、聴くなら夜！」と決めている。これからのシーズンにまた聴きこみたくなる。　　ズントコとした前奏を受けて、くぐもったミュートが流れてくる･･･マイルスによるあのメロディーはいつ聴いてもしびれる。すでに持っているが別テイクが味わえるならまた買わなくては･･･。
