ブラジルの奴隷制度を歌った表題のノイチス・ド・ノルチは、その重い歴史を 静謐に語るように歌い上げ、名状し難い”北の夜(ノイチス・ド・ノルチ)”と締めくくる。曲だけ聴いていると、奴隷制度のことを歌っているとは思えない、美しい曲。
