Deluxe eight CD box set comprised of re-mastered editions of the first seven albums recorded and released by Bruce Springsteen for Columbia Records between 1973 and 1984 - GREETINGS FROM ASBURY PARK, N.J. (1973), THE WILD, THE INNOCENT AND THE E STREET SHUFFLE (1973), BORN TO RUN (1975), DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN (1978), THE RIVER (double album/1980), NEBRASKA (1982), and BORN IN THE U.S.A. (1984). All of the albums are newly re-mastered (five for the first time ever on CD). The seven albums are recreations of their original packaging and the set is accompanied by a 60 page book featuring rarely-seen photos, memorabilia and original press clippings from Springsteen's first decade as a recording artist. Acclaimed engineer Bob Ludwig, working with Springsteen and longtime engineer Toby Scott, has re-mastered these albums, all newly transferred from the original analogue masters using the Plangent Process playback system.

音質については、他のレビュアーさんが書かれている通りです。 ワタシは輸入盤を買いましたが、開梱したところ ・外箱（ボックス）には落としたと思われる角の傷みあり ・ネブラスカのジャケットに打痕があり ・ボーン・トゥ・ランのジャケットが折り曲げ痕あり ひどいです。しばらく悩んで輸入盤にありがちなトラブルということ、開梱が遅くなり到着後2週間経過していたこと　からクレームしませんでしたが、せっかくの素晴らしいセットなので残念です。

CDボックスセットとしては秀逸です。シールベタベタ貼った（ような）レコードケースにスクラッチブック調のブックレットとノスタルジーに浸れる構成です。リマスターは好き嫌いが分かれそうです。レコード＆カセット→旧CDとさんざん聴いているせいか、少々整いすぎかなと思いました。強いて上げれば”Point Black”がもの凄く聴きやすくなっているのが良かったのですが（笑）

友人が輸入盤を購入して、借りて聴いたら、リマスターで音が良くなっていました。さっそくＨＭＶにて国内盤を購入しました。まだ届いていませんが、商品の写真も豪華そうで大変楽しみです。ブルースファンにお勧めですね。
