Product Description

2007 EP from this Sydney outfit, their first EP on the renowned Ivy League label. There's traces of familiar influences in there certainly; a touch of Velvet Underground, an inkling of Dirty Three and obvious nods to both Jazz and Folk. But it's all delivered with an unusual line-up of drums, guitar, violin and saxophone, not to mention Holiday's vocals, alternately breathy and growling, steering the music away from standard reference points and into a sphere completely of it's own.

美しいヴァイオリンの音色が曲全体に流れる。アレンジが似ているので、もう少し違うテイストの曲を聴いてみたい。
