モダンジャズというと どこか批評をせずにはいられない方向け、という感が否めませんが このアルバムには、そのような事を考えさせずに 芯からエンジョイできる曲が詰まっています。 もちろんテクニカル的な事でも満足のいく一枚です（アメリカ西海岸の名演奏者ばかりが演奏している贅沢さ）が、 それ以上に観客に押し付けないメロディラインが ジャズ初心者にも、ベテランの方にも聞き応えのある一枚となっています。
