Brent Bowman began playing guitar and writing original songs as a teenager, and recorded and released his first full length studio album, 'The Dark Reality', at age 17. 'The Dark Reality' was an overnight success, received local airplay, and sold out it's first printing and is currently unavailable. Encouraged by this success, Bowman returned to the studio in 1996 and released his sophomore album 'Storms', which experimented with a heavier rock style balanced with acoustic ballads. In 1997 Bowman was named by Musician Magazine as a finalist in their international 'Best Unsigned Band' competition. In August 1997 Bowman completed his third album, the solo acoustic 'Isolation Rituals', which was delayed for release for 6 months due to post-production problems. A concept album about depression, 'Isolation Rituals' was not as successful as Bowman's first two albums and sold modestly, but has since gained a cult following. Bowman spent the next 10 years touring the east coast and promoting his first three albums, but returned to the studio in 2007 to make an album with fellow New Jersey singer/songwriter Bryan Lisa. Their album entitled 'Fears and Accusations' resulted in rave reviews from IndieMusic.com as well as their fan base. Bowman and Lisa toured for the next two years promoting 'Fears and Accusations', and Bowman began recording his first solo studio album in ten years in 2008. After four years of work, Bowman has announced that his fifth album will be released in February 2013.
