60年代から、ギタリスト（サム・クック、スライ＆ザ・ファミリーストーン等のライヴやレコーディングに参加）、作曲家（ウィルソン・ピケット、ジョージ・ベンソン等に楽曲提供、またローリング・ストーンズの「It's All Over Now」の作曲者）、歌手（ソロ活動以外にサンタナ等のレコーディングにボーカルで参加）と3つの顔を持ち精力的な活動を行ってきたボビー・ウーマック。特に作曲やサウンドクリエーターの面で評価されることの多いミュージシャンですが、そもそもの出発点がゴスペル・グループだったことでもわかるように、心を打つボーカルも彼の魅力です。本作は、そんな彼の渾身のライヴ。2000年にワシントンD.C.のブラック・エンタテイメント・テレビジョンで行われたスタジオ・ライヴを収録した作品です。独特の、気迫溢れる、ソウルフルで、生々しい歌声で数々のヒット曲を披露。また、映像特典としてウーマックのロングインタビュ『Meet The Artist』も併せて収録。
