フリゼールのギター、ホランドのベース、ジョーンズのドラムスによるトリオの演奏。ジャズ・ロックないしブルースを基調としたやや渋めの演奏で、とても心地良い。パット・メセニーの甘口の演奏に食傷気味な人には特におすすめ。前半、地味なオリジナル曲の合間に突如「ムーン・リバー」が出てきたり、後半の方が親しみやすいメロディーの曲が多くなったりと、最後まで飽きずに楽しめる。どうでもいいんだけど、ジャッケトのイラストって何？、、、カネゴン？？？

[ビル・フリーゼルの真骨頂を問うた純粋な作品]：HMVレビューより：ということで（１）アルバム・デザインがかっこいい（２）エルビン・ジョンズ(ds)とデイブホランド(b)というコルトレーンとマイルスの重要なリズムセクションを担当したクワセモノとのトリオ（３）ロバートフィリップ（キングクリムゾン(g)）との来日公演で披露したフィリップ翁よりもアバンギャルトなギター奏法（ギターというよりもギター＋小型PA＋マイク＊エフェクトで構成された音響システム）に非常にショックを受けた私と他の聴衆；演奏が終了しても一瞬金縛りにあって拍手

趣味の悪い緑色のカネゴンの意味が不明（笑）。しかししかしだがしかし、冒頭のジャーンから深い陰影とギターの美しさ、鋭さ、圧倒的ドライブ感等によりアーバンとトラッドの妙なる統合。リラックスしているが、ゆだんできない大人たち。
