Over the course of four years, the Beets have released two lps and three singles for NY label Captured Tracks, toured nationally with Vivian Girls, the Mountain Goats, shared the stage with Pavement, and have been featured on the Howard Stern show twice! Let the Poison Out was captured on tape by Gary Olson of Ladybug Transistor at Marlborough Farms and finds the Beets shaking off the lo-fi brashness of their first two lps. The jangly acoustic guitar, brutal and surreal lyrics, and catchy and breezy sing-a-long songs that people have come to worship by the band, have remained.
