たとえビートルズと言えども、こうしたデモ・レコーディングの出来の良し悪しをあれこれ言ってもあまり意味がないような気がします。要は聴く人それぞれの判断に委ねるしかないということ。先の第1集、第2集には食指が動かなかった自分がこの第3集に関心をもったのは、『ビートルズ（ホワイト・アルバム）』期の音源が入っていたから。68年初頭の有名なインドでの瞑想修行（実際はちょっとした観光旅行みたいなものだったらしいが）のあと、本番のレコーディングに入る直前、インドで作った曲をもとにジョージの家でリハーサルをしているのはファンにはよく知られていたこと。この第３集は、そこでの音源の他、『ホワイト・アルバム』関連の音源を多数収めている。

出だしのBeginingからして素晴らしい。続くWarm ganは、ある意味オリジナルより好きかも。長時間演奏のHelter Skelterの編集っぷりも素晴らしい。とにかく、とてもアウトテイク集とは思えない、オリジナルアルバムと言っても過言ではない出来で、レコーディングの際、そこにいて、その時の空気感を知っていたジョージマーチンにしか作れなかったアルバムだと思います。文句無しの5点。
