Twenty years after the release of one of the biggest singles of all time, leading artists are set to re-record the Bob Geldof-inspired charity hit 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'.

Geldof and Ultravox singer Midge Ure created Band Aid, a supergroup of 40 artists, in 1984 and with the hit single raised over 10 million pounds for famine relief in Ethiopia. Geldof, who travelled to Ethiopia earlier this month as part of the British-sponsored Commission for Africa, became the public face of Band Aid and the subsequent Live Aid concert which raised over 60 million pounds.

originalの band aidがほしくて買った。real timeで聞いたのでoriginalのジャケットを使ってほしかった。２番目は１９８９年の band aid IIのカバ ー。 予想したとおり最悪の出来、名曲も台無し。 結局今のメジャーなsingerには良い のがいないという証拠だと思う。 たけさんの意見には反対、１９８４年 以降の人にとってはオリジナルじゃなくただのカバー曲。
