mabdible chatterのメンバーであるgrant millerのソロプロジェクトthe balustrade ensembleのデビューアルバム。本作はtarentelやcharles atlasのレコーディングを手がけるscott solterが全面的にバックアップし制作されたアルバムで、wendy allenの漂うようなコーラスや、きらびやかにつま弾かれるアコーズティックギターを中心に、チェロ、ピアノ、ペダルスティールのアコースティック楽器や、メロトロン、オーケストロン、クラヴィオラの古いアナログ楽器を用いています。これらの楽器から生み出されるハーモニーは、とても繊細かつドリーミーで、何とも言えないクラシカルな暖かさと浮遊感を醸し出しています。ギター系アンビエントエレクトロニカの秀作です。
