ノース・ロンドン出身の新鋭=Bakar(バカール)デビュー・アルバム『Nobody's Home』
ノース・ロンドン(カムデン)出身のシンガー・ソングライター=Bakar(バカール)。2018年にミックステープ『Badkid』を発表。「インディー・ロック、ラップ、パンクのメルティング・ポット」と称された、そのジャンルレスなサウンドに注目が集まると共に、ルイ・ヴィトンのモデルに抜擢される等、ファッションシーンでも活躍。その後、Sony UKとのジョイント・ベンチャーであるBlack Butterと契約し、2019年発売のEP『Will You Be My Yellow?』にはドミニク・ファイクとのコラボレーション曲「Stop Selling Her Drugs」も収録された。
今回発売されるデビュー・アルバム『Nobody's Home』は、プロデューサーに長年のコラボレーターであるザック・ナホームを迎え、ゲストボーカルとしてエステルも参加。ジャンルの間を自由に飛び越えるBakarmの感性が存分に発揮された、渾身のデビュー・アルバムとなった。
