BWV989以外の３曲は、以前フィリップスの「２０世紀…」シリーズで出ていたものと同一音源。トゥーレックは何度もゴルトベルクを録音するなど、バッハ演奏に定評があり、かのグレン・グールドにも多大な影響を与えた人物であったという。この５７年録音は、グールドの演奏とは対極にある「ゆっくりしたテンポでじっくりと歌い上げる」もの。グールドの新旧両盤の好きな方にも、トゥーレックのＤＧ盤（これも素晴らしい！）が好きな方にも、是非とも聴いていただきたいと思う。現代ピアノでのバッハ演奏の名演の一つとして語られるべき名盤だと思う。
