カザルスといえば無伴奏ばかり評価されているが、指揮も素晴らしいと思う。雄渾にしてひたむき。いろいろな演奏を聴いてきたが管弦楽組曲はこの演奏が一番好き。

ブランデンブルクだけの輸入盤を持っているので、これの感想になります。とても素晴らしく、聴いていてとてもよい気分になります。各楽器による躍動感が何よりもよい。特筆すべきはゼルキンのピアノです。第５番第１楽章のソロは圧巻です。ジャズに通じるスリリングさとセンスのよさが光ります。ときおり聴こえるカザルスのうなり声にもにんまりです。チェンバロ盤もよいけど、このCDにはそれにはない魅力が満載されています。とにかく楽しい。
