ロック・プリンセス、アヴリル・ラヴィーンの通算5作目。アヴリルをデビューさせたL.A.リード（当時アリスタ社長）が率いるEPIC移籍第一弾で、初めて自らの名前を冠したセルフタイトル・アルバムとなった。原点回帰ともいえるハイテンションなポップ・ロック「ネヴァー・グローイング・アップ」、「ロックンロール」がシングル・カットされた。アルバムには当時結婚生活送っていたニッケルバックのチャド・クルーガーも参加（現在は離婚している）。日本盤には映画『ワンピース フィルム ゼット』のダブル主題歌「バッド・レピュテーション」と「ハウ・ユー・リマインド・ミー」を追加収録している。日本のアルバム・チャートでは最高2位にランキング。（2013年作品）
