Sun Room

Much has happened to Avery Sunshine since she debuted in 2010 with her self-titled album. In the UK she has appeared on BBC TV's Later.... with Jools Holland and Songs of Praise, and her soul-shaking anthem I Got Sunshine was a firm favorite at BBC Radio, she got to tour with BB King and opened for him at London's Royal Albert Hall. In the US her single Ugly Part of Me went Top 20 on Billboard's Adult Urban chart, she has shared a stage with the likes of Eric Benet, Ledisi and Musiq Soulchild, and duetted with Will Downing. Rooted in gospel, Avery is fluent in many styles, from soul and house to classical and hip-hop. Her sound is organic... soulful... therapeutic. She sings songs that people can relate to. Her second album The Sun Room features exquisite story ballads Nothing to Something and Sweet Afternoon, an Al Green-flavored Love (Won't You Try), a sassy soulful shuffler I Do Love You and the Motown-influenced Time to Shine. And this is Avery's time to shine! With production again by her co-writer/guitarist Dana Johnson, this time round there are horns on several tracks, produced by none other than Bluey of Incognito.
